On July 22, 2009, in open lodge, Montgomery Lodge #25 gathered to honor three of it's members by presenting the following awards:
To Bro. Earl Long, who, for Fifty (50) years, has been a Mason
To Bro. Leonard Parker who, for Sixty (60) years, has been a Mason
And, last but certainly not least, To Bro. J. W. Foley who, for Seventy-Five years, has been a Mason
Bro. Foley, who lives in South Carolina, could not attend the festivities. However, his award has been forwarded to the Grand Lodge of South Carolina Who will present the award to Bro. Foley as a courtesy to Montgomery Lodge #25.
Lodge Secretary Steve Blackman read the Masonic records of each Brother
Presenting the awards on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Texas was R:. W:. Ken Welch, District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District #28
Bro. Earl was pinned by his lovely Lady:
Who was suitably rewarded for her patience over those 50 years.
While Bro. Leonard was pinned by R:. W:. Ken Welch
Bro. Leonard's son was also present for his father's presentation
After being awarded their pins, the brothers were escorted to the East
where they were presented with their plaques by W. M. Michael A. Chaplin, D.C.
